DESIGN STORY One Spring morning, a mid-race respite proved to be the undoing of an overconfident speedster, not to mention the lucky break his slow-but-sure competition needed to own the day.

The hare was faster. The tortoise was smarter about it. Brought to life as part of the Erstwilder x Pete Cromer Fairy Tales Part 2 collection, this limited-run layered resin brooch captures the fable of the Tortoise and the Hare through Pete's warmth and playful approach to design. Hand-assembled for those who've always understood that the slow-and-steady option usually wins out. Also available as mismatched drop earrings, while stocks last.

Brooch Size: 54mm x 65mm (H x W)

ABOUT: Each piece is made from laser-cut and layered resin, hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. As all of our designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand, there can be very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand-mixed nature of the resins in our designs, it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all, this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are.

Brooch clasps are made with a 100% stainless steel pin and plated brass screws. Please note, components change over time and may be made with other materials. Designs come packaged in Erstwilder gift boxes.
